Maeve's First Birthday

It's pretty hard to believe that we just celebrated Maeve's first birthday but we have the messy house to prove it. Our pictures are limited and not that great as our camera's batteries died (such a cliche) and everyone was more interested in experiencing it than photographing it (isn't that always the way). Here are a few shots of the big day.

She may get the prize for the most unimpressed looking 1 year old receiving her birthday cake. Mom made Maeve her own special cake to 'dive into' and she actually had the nerve to gag (I'm not kidding) on it as we tried to shove it into her mouth. Is she really part Johnston?...My dad is still gobsmacked.

Maeve's latest obsessions

1. The water cooler. aka "Free flowing water at my level, awesome!"

2. Taking things out of containers and throwing them all over the floor.

3. Being naked. (Although in her defense it was Nana that 'dressed' her in a hat with the mitts still attached and no clothes and then took pictures of her.)

4. Finn pancakes. From the Hoito, made by dad, whatever, just keep them coming...
